David McCallum is a Sound Designer and Supervising Sound Editor for films and television. A dialogue and ADR specialist, David is a founding partner of the former Tattersall Sound & Picture in Toronto. David’s most recent screen credits include television dramas “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Alias Grace,” “The Vikings” and “Cardinal.” His sound work for the big screen include upcoming releases “Kin and The Man Who Invented Christmas,” Canadian feature films “Take This Waltz” and “Hyena Road,” and international films, including the screen adaptations of Jose Saramago’s “Blindness” and Salman Rushdie’s “Midnight’s Children.” Other notable film credits include “Splice,” “Still Mine,” “Away From Her,” “The Nut Job” and the “Silent Hill” series of horror films. A recent winner of the prestigious Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel award (MPSE) for his work on the television series “Penny Dreadful,” David is also a three-time Emmy nominee, has earned six Canadian Screen awards, and is a proud winner of a BAFTA award from the British Association of Film & Television.
