Staff. Expertise. Talent.
As a colorist, Andrew lives “in the chair,” balancing client visions with project needs to deliver a final product he’s proud to put his name on. Initially, Andrew thought his career path would be in compositing. He studied Media Theory & Production at Western University and then completed his post-grad in Special Effects & Compositing at Fanshawe College, but it was an internship that sparked his interest in becoming a colourist. When an opportunity for an Assistant Colorist came up, Andrew applied for the role and began honing his skills. Prior to Sim, Andrew worked as a colorist at the post-house Smith, a notable company in the industry. When Smith closed operations, Andrew called Marc Bachli to set up a meeting. Andrew has had a seamless transition since joining Sim Post Toronto one year ago. His easy-going personality and great eye make him a strong client-facing artist, enhancing sessions with his experience and interpersonal skills. Some of Andrew’s favourite projects have been the music videos he has worked on this year including artists such as Cold Creek County, Silverstien, Lights, and The Arkells. This Year, he has also been working on two series, Hunting Nazi Treasure and a new season of See No Evil.
