Claire Dobson

While studying film in University and Humber College’s Post Production Graduate Program, Claire was inspired by the National Film Board of Canada, director Guy Maddin, and wrote several essays on the movie “Fargo.” Fast forward to the present day and she has worked on three NFB documentaries, Guy Maddin’s “Bring Me the Head of Tim Horton” and is a dialogue editor on Season 3 of the FX TV series “Fargo.” Claire joined Sim’s Tattersall Sound and Picture in 2012 for the first season of “Vikings” and is still at it on Season 5. Her diverse resumé includes television shows such as “Penny Dreadful,” “Cardinal” and “The Book of Negroes,” films such as “The Nut Job” and “Zoom” and documentaries such as “My Prairie Home,” “Unarmed Verses” and “A Better Man.” She has garnered numerous awards and nominations for her work in the fields of both dialogue and sound effects editing. Claire is an opera lover, plays piano in her spare time and has seen a polar bear in the wild.
