Marketing and Communications Coordinator


The Marketing and Communications Coordinator helps Sim achieve superior customer engagement by strategically utilizing our social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter), analyzing metrics and providing reporting. This role also contributes to the Marketing team through administrative support, assisting with marketing projects/events and regularly communicating company news and events to employees via company intranet.

About the Position

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with Director of Marketing in the execution of the Annual Integrated Marketing Communications Plan to address key marketing, and communications strategies and tactics
  • Develop and execute social media strategy through competitive research, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit and share regular social media content that builds meaningful connections and encourages engagement
  • Keep up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Optimize company pages on each social media platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content and develop an optimal posting schedule, considering the traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Increase social engagement metrics (likes, shares, etc.) aligned with broader marketing and brand strategies and revenue generation goals
  • Capture and analyze the appropriate social media data/metrics, insights and best practices, and report on a quarterly basis
  • Create, source and edit content for a variety of internal and external communication projects
  • Act as the Company’s brand champion internally and externally
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance of marketing database, which includes client and prospect information, mailing lists etc.
  • Process marketing purchases and POs through our accounting system and work with the Finance team and vendors as required
  • Maintain and control inventory of signage, banners, sales and marketing supplies
  • Arrange printing and distribution of collateral
  • Work within Salesforce to gather information for marketing and PR opportunities
  • Assist with the execution of marketing events, as required
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Communication and/or Marketing preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Marketing/Social Media
  • Entertainment industry experience preferred
  • Proven work experience in social media marketing and increasing engagement
  • Strong knowledge of social media channels and content optimization
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
